THELMA
Thelma and Louise are a pair of DMK kids (a.k.a. “the McGirls”). They are
finally, for the first time in their lives, happy little girls with plenty of
play time and toys. Thelma is just the sweetest thing you've ever seen, and
though she was apprehensive at first of just about everything, it didn't take
her long to jump right into the shelter groove. The first time these two were
put in a play pen, they absolutely dooked their hearts out. It was like
Christmas and little kids -- pure joy! Thelma would just like Santa to remember
DMK at Christmas and bestow upon him a little of “what goes around comes
around”.
Things that the shelter can always use: Ferret.com gift certificates, Ferret Nation cages, Totally Ferret food (show ferret, senior or the new venison turkey food), Innova EVO, Alpha Trak test strips, Science Diet A/D, Melatonin Implants, Ferretone, Laxistat, Nutri-Cal or ear cleaner. We have a volunteer that makes and donates all of our bedding so we don't need any bedding right now.
A donation to our vet would also be wonderful, as we have been doing between three and nine surgeries per month for as long as we can remember. Please make sure you let Dr. K's office know that it is a donation to The Ferret Inn. Please also send us your name and address, as we want to make sure you get a big thank you from all the kids.
This has been a very overwhelming year for all of the shelters in Maryland, and we are no exception. Surrenders are WAY up, adoptions have been slow, and we are at max capacity right now, but the surrender calls keep coming and coming. The Ferret Inn is a 501c3, tax exempt organization, so all monetary donations are tax deductible! Please know that Thelma will appreciate whatever you choose to send, and she's grateful that so many folks out there care so deeply for the shelter kids.
