Casey
Little Casey came in a ferret five-pack of senior citizens. He’s always had major health issues and chronic diarrhea. During adrenal surgery, our vet found that his intestines were rope-like, and a biopsy later showed no definitive reason for this. He’s on special food and medications and, after weeks of hand feeding, has finally put on some nice weight. At least he eats like a champ!!! Since he eats about his own body weight in food every day to keep his new pa-dunka-dunk enormous, he would love it if his Santa could send him some Totally Ferret or Innova EVO.
Things the shelter can always use: Ferret.com gift certificates, Ferret Nation cages, Totally Ferret food (show ferret, senior or the new venison turkey food), Innova EVO, Alpha Trak test strips, Science Diet A/D, Melatonin Implants, Ferretone, Laxistat, Nutri-Cal or ear cleaner. We have a volunteer that makes and donates all of our bedding so we don't need any bedding right now.
A donation to our vet would also be wonderful, as we have been doing between three and nine surgeries per month for as long as we can remember. Please make sure you let Dr. K's office know that it is a donation to The Ferret Inn. Please send us your name and address, as we want to make sure you get a big thank you from all the kids!
This has been a very overwhelming year for all of the shelters in Maryland, and
we are no exception. Surrenders are WAY up, adoptions have been slow, and we
are at max capacity right now, but the surrender calls keep coming and coming.
The Ferret Inn is a 501c3, tax exempt organization, so all monetary donations
are tax deductible! Please know that Casey will appreciate whatever you choose
to send and he's grateful that so many folks out there care so deeply for the
shelter kids.
